We are now teaching the NEW ADOT-MVD Authorized Third Party Driver Training School. Who has Certified Trainers which offer education and behind the wheel training. Atlantic Driving School is one of the few schools to qualify for skill evaluation that way waive the random testing at MVD. The new law is 30 hours of classroom and/ or 10 hours of behind the wheel instruction.
The Arizona requirement of 30 hours of day and 10 hours of night practice must be documented and 6 months of permit practice for 16-17 year old's before this skill test can be done by appointment.
Atlantic wants to get as much general driving information to each of our students. We have moved back to the 8 hour one day class. The student will be prepared to go to MVD and take their permit test.
NOW IN THREE LOCATIONS: Driver Education Program Class 8am to 5pm, every location.
There are 3 ways for the student to get a permit. You can do any of these combinations for instruction.
a. You go to MVD and take the permit test , when you pass come back to take driving instruction.
b.We have decided to go back to the one day 8 hour class. Atlantic wants to give as much general driving information to each of our students.We teach defensive driving situations, risk management,etc.At the end the student will be prepared to go to MVD for their permit test. The fee for this class is $90.00.
c. If we get 4 students who want this class, the 30 hour program is 4 - 8 hour classes. We will make the schedule happen for both you and us. AZDOT requires we do the 30 hour classroom to give the written skill evaluation. You need a 80% to get certification. The fee for this class is $150.00 in any location.
Course outline; Starting with you, Reviewing the Arizona Manuel, Knowing yourself, Handling Social Pressures, Learning the Basics, Rules of the Road, Getting to know your Vehicle, Starting , Steering, Stopping, Basic Driving Skills, Moving onto the Road, Driving Environments, Light and Weather Conditions, Sharing the Road, Natural Laws and Driving, Responding to an Emergency, Planning Your Future, Vehicle Systems and Maintenance, Planning a Trip, we also have videos and class projects.
ADOT/MVD now requires us to have proof of address for any 30 hour classroom student. We will need a photo copy of any one of these items; Bank Statement, credit card bill, school ID card, W2 form,Utility bill, pay stub passport.
ALL CLASSES LISTED ARE THE 8 HOUR ONE DAY CLASS. IF YOU WANT THE 30 HOUR CLASS, WE NEED TO HAVE 4 STUDENTS in order to schedule the class.

The drive time will be done one on one after you get your photo permit (there is a state fee for permit).
With the 10 hour driving package, we can do the behind the wheel final evaluation that may waive the RANDOM MVD testing. You need to have a 80% to pass!!! We prefer to have the student not drive with anyone before they drive with us. That way the students learn the correct way to drive from the beginning. Our goal is to go from chaos to tranquility with our lessons.
All drive time is scheduled at class around your schedule-day, after school or weekends.

The lessons are 2 hrs per lesson. Gary & Glenda are fun to drive with and you learn many skills.
Behind the Wheel Instruction can be wither with the classroom program or Private lessons are available with a permit. $230.00 for 6 hours, 8 hour for $300 or 10 hour for $400.00 ( in the BHC area), Driving lessons in addition to the classroom or Private lessons in LHC or KGM are $250.00 for 6 hours, $320 for 8 hours or $450 for 10 hours. ($40.00 per hour in BHC area and $45.00 per hour in KGM or LHC.)
After you do the 8 hours of drive time with us. You must document the 30 hours of day and 10 hours of night driving, before you can schedule the last 2 hours that include the skill evaluation. There is a possible random testing with MVD. No matter how old you are, practice makes you a better driver!
